Ranch is one of the most delicious condiments that was ever invented. It perfectly compliments so many things. I enjoy it on all sorts of salads, many things chicken and definitely buffalo chicken, french fries, BLTs… oh my goodness, I could talk for an hour about all of the things that can be dipped into ranch. But those store bought bottles of “light ranch” just don’t do it for me. In a pinch, okay, they are better than nothing. but if I want to really enjoy my meal I turn to this recipe. Basically I just lightened up the ingredients that are on the back of the ranch packet directions to make the dressing. I’m sure people have done this a bajillion times. It’s okay though, because for those of you who didn’t think of this, I’m here for you, and I’m going to share with you today! Best. Ranch. EVER. (And totally guilt free!) Eric said the other day, “I could drink a glass of it.” Okay, but it’s not exactly the healthiest to drink a glass of ranch, lightened up or not.

Here’s the super simple steps!

Skinny Ranch

Gather up your ingredients! You’ll need ranch dressing seasoning mix, buttermilk, and some light mayo.

Throw all of those ingredients into one bowl..

Whisk together until all those lumps of mayo are nice and smooth..

Grab a handy dandy mason jar (or tupperware with a lid) to pour your dressing into for storage.

Cover and pop it into the fridge, and let the flavors mingle for at least 20 minutes .

Then drizzle or dip to your hearts desire!

  • 1 cup low fat buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise

I’m using 1/4 cup Hellmans light mayo and 1/4 Kraft Fat Free Mayo. It’s just as good and lower in points.
I figured it out on Weight Watcher recipe builders. It makes it 2 Tbs for 1 sp.

    1. It would be the same amount of points as smart points because there are no zero point elements, but i’ll update it to say Freestyle points. Hope that helps, enjoy!
